The vacuole also plays a major role in autophagy which is maintaining the balance between biogenesis and degradation, of many substances and cell structure in a certain organism. like i mentioned before the aid i the destruction of invading bacteria. The large vacuoles are found in three genera of filamentous, the Thioploca, Beggiatoa, and Theomargarita. THe vacuole sometimes can occupy between 40-98% of the cell.
In the animal cell the vacuole perform mostly subordinate roles. Like assisting in larger processes of exocytosis and endocytosis. Exocytosis is the extrusion process of proteins and lipids from the cell. And endocytosis is the opposite of the exocytosis and can occur in a variaty of forms. Well thank you fro reading my entry.
